Lyon, called the “Technology Coach” in the Johnson City School District, leads professional development surrounding classroom technology. Lyon typically works one on one or in small groups of teachers developing strategies for integrating technology into everyday instruction.

He plans to use his prize (24 Q2 remotes, the Q7 presenter tablet, and WizTeach tools for teachers and Connect Software) to train other teachers and to demonstrate how engaging response systems can be.  “[I’m] always encouraging teachers to measure student response in their lesson plans,” he explains.

Eventually, he will host a drawing within his school district for the classroom suite, Lyon says, explaining that he’d love to pass along his winnings after his professional development campaign.
